Leprosy is probably the oldest and most feared disease by humanity. Today, despite the commitment of the Indian Government to eradicate it still has many victims. The lepers live away from society. Rejected by their families for whom they represent a great shame, they find refuge in camps, or in specialized hospitals in the treatment of leprosy. The majority of the remaining lepers through begging and alms. Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease. It affects mainly the skin, peripheral nerves and eyes. It can cause severe infirmities mutilated limbs, blindness. Today, we can treat it with antibiotics.
